Total Optical (Previously known as Trevenen Optical) is the oldest independent and locally owned Optometry Practice in Cairns having been established in 1956. We are committed to providing the highest standard of service ensuring personal attention and advice that suits your lifestyle, eye health and eyewear and budget needs.

Antonia has worked in optics for over 23 years commencing as an Optical Receptionist and working her way through becoming an Optical Dispenser, completing a certificate in Ophthalmic Practice Management as well as becoming an accredited Vision Therapist. Antonia also has degrees in Business Management and Human Resource Management.
As Practice Manager at Total Optical she ensures the smooth running of the practice whilst also providing Vision Therapy services. She absolutely loves being part of a team that helps to improve the quality of people’s lives, particularly children that are struggling to learn due to underdeveloped visual skills.
When not at work, Antonia loves spending quality time with her husband and family as well as baking decadent cakes, riding her bike and more recently running.
Jane has been of service to the community of Cairns and further afield for the past 31 years. Her past experience involves being a fly-in Optometrist for the indigenous communities of Wujal Wujal, Doomadgee and Hopevale. She has also been a consultant Optometrist for the IDEAS van, consultant Low Vision Optometrist for Vision Australia and been in private practice at Total Optical for over 30 years. “I enjoy making a difference in patients’ lives through improving and enhancing their vision” says Jane.
Jane is a mother of four children and enjoys gardening and continuously learning in order to stay up to date with the latest developments in optometry. Jane has a special interest in Children’s Vision (Behavioural Optometry), myopia control, complex contact lens fitting as well as dry eye.
Marine was born in beautiful France and immigrated to Australia in 2005 joining the Total Optical team in 2016. Marine is fully qualified having completed a Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing in 2006.
Marine is known for her expertise in matching patients with the perfect frames for their personality. She is fabulous in giving honest feedback to make sure you choose the right glasses that suit your sense of style and your prescription.
Marine is also very helpful in providing translation services to those clients that are more comfortable speaking French than English. When not at work, Marine loves spending time with her family in the great outdoors.
Katie is new to Optometry, but she previously worked at an after-school care facility for 7 ½ years. During that time, she met so many different families and made many friendships. Katie enjoyed working with all the children and enjoyed the administration and customer service side of the business. This led her to where she is today working her way towards becoming a qualified Optical Dispenser and Dry Eye Technician.
Katie enjoys having a laugh and making people smile as well as helping to improve the quality of people’s lives. In her free time, Katie enjoys camping, spending time with her family, friends and her dogs.
